    This ad expressed the idea that the better dressed a women is, the more the admire them as if they are a gift to men, and the job of the wife is to do housecleaning and care or the family for a living.

The idea being expressed is attempting to make it seem that if men were to work in the kitchen they would seem more 'feminine" than they are, but if a women did it would suit their stereotype well.

During this time period (1960's - 1980's) this is known as the "Second wave" of feminism. However, their voices weren't strong enough so they focused the issue on gender equality.

    this image is symbolizing that the man is the chief, but the women is the one who cooks. in this case the chief represents a person with full responsibility, and the wife is there to pamper to the husband after a long day at work. however in the 1980's, the women's movement was advancing because the first women, "Geraldine Ferraro", was elected to become vice president to a major political party.

    during the 2000's, athletes had been discriminated against, in what they wear during the game and how they dress. In the first image, the women who plays volleyball is wearing lipstick. Because lipstick is "feminine" it is assumed she cant play well, but that doesn't mean that women cant play the sport up to a mans potential. The lipstick is on the ball which means she's not afraid to be aggressive in the game.
