the bluebird nurses were actually just regular nurses in the first world war and obtained their name from the wounded soldiers since they wore blue uniforms. the bluebirds were given the right to vote after the war and were given the right from there help and risking there lives every day from attacks and helping save thousands of soldiers and were given a sort of medal of honor, and the right to vote because of their place in the army. -

The famous five(Nellie McClung)
Nellie was a well- known novelist, teacher, social reformer, and suffragist, who eventually served as a member of the Alberta legislature between 1921 to 1926. Nellie campaigned for Mothers, allowances, birth control, free medical and dental treatment for school children, public health regulations, temperance, and the rights of women. In 1936 she became the first woman on the Board of Governors for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.was also was involved in the persons case for women. -

Henrietta Edwards fought from a very young age for women’s rights and education, as well as women’s work across the country. A gifted artist, talented interpreter of the law and tireless activist and organizer, Henrietta helped found a great number of woman's rights including, in 1929 her and the other of the famous five won the persons case for women to not be considered property but as citizens of Canada, as well as Henrietta fought for divorces and made the splitting of a couple legal. -

The person case was started by the Famous Five, was a constitutional ruling that established the right of women to be appointed to the Senate.
