    Life and Death

Werner Heisenberg was born in Wurzburg, Germany on 5 December 1901. He passed away from kidney and gall bladder cancer at his home in Munich, Germany on the first of February 1976. (https://www.physicsoftheuniverse.com/scientists_heisenberg.html)
  • Philosophies of Werner Heisenberg

During his long and incredible life, Werner Heisenberg contributed many philosophies to include the uncertainty principle, quantum mechanics, and for his development of the matrix mechanic.
  • Quantum Mechanics

During his time working with Niels Bohr, Werner worked with Max Born and Pascual Jordan, to create the matrix mechanics for quantum mechanics. His matrix mechanics was the first complete and correct definition of quantum mechanics, and it extended the Bohr model of atoms by describing how the quantum jumps occur and by interpreting the physical properties of particles as matrices that evolve over time.

  • Uncertainty Principle

    Uncertainty Principle
In Copenhagen Heisenberg developed the uncertainty principle, which he first described in a letter to Wolfgang Pauli in 1927. The uncertainty principle (Originally "Ungenauigkeit" or "imprecision") states that the values of certain pairs of variables cannot both be known with complete precision, not so much due to the limitations of the researcher’s ability to measure them, but rather due to the very nature of the system itself.
