Go to Hollywood
The company was forced to close. Desesperate and out of money, Disney moves to Hollywood. -
Universal
They set up the studio in a converted garage and after five years, they create a short animation "Alice in Cartoonland" and "Oswald the Rabbit" which was dristributed by Universal. -
Plane Crazy
Mickey first appeared in May 1928 in the short Plane Crazy. -
The contract
In February 1928, the contract for "Oswald the Rabbit" was up for a new renewal and Walt went to New York to make a new deal. -
Brand new idea
In the back of his mind he had the idea of a mouse. At the beginning, he called the mouse Mortimer, and eventually its name was changed to Mickey Mouse. -
The success of Mickey Mouse
Mickey Mouse became one of the most popular animated characters in the industry. Children loved Mickey. -
Technicolor
Intrigued by animation and music, Walt produced a series called Silly Symphony, the first in the series. In 1932 Walt discovered Technicolor and worked with him on new projects. -
Snow White and Seven Dwarfs
Walt perfected the combination of animation and sound and in 1932 Snow White and Seven Dwarfs was created. Since then, the Disney name has gone on to produce hundreds of animated movies. -
Disneyland has arrived
He later on turned his cartoon world into a reality for people. He came up with the idea of Dinseyland also called Disney Parks which is really success for his company. -
Nowadays
Today the Disney Empire is a great success due to its great masterpieces, adding to that the different types of goods among other businesses to which it is dedicated.
