The journey across the nation started off from st luois in 1804. jefferson told them to follow the missouri in hopes of finding a water route to the pacific. the explorers spent the winter with the mandan people. when they left they took with them sacagawea who knew many anguages and the geography. -
Trail Of Tears
The goverment marched native americans off their land 1,200 or more miles away to diffrent land that was now "theirs" many died on the way hence the mane trail of tears. -
Texas revalution
In 1835 mexican soldiers marched to the town of gonzolaze and tried to capture the cannon they had used to fend off native americans they were not able to capture it. then they were angry and gathered 6, 000 mexican troops and marched on the alamo. the texans held it for 12 grueling days. then they were overwelmed and fell to 1,600 men charging them when they had no ammo left. but this defeat doubled the size of the army with more angry texans and they ambushed the mexicans at the san jacinto. -
