    Eisenhower was saying that the U.S needed to get envolved in Vietnam because of the domino effect. The damino effect was that if Vietnam becomes communist then the rest of the countries around it will want to be communist too.

    The communists were winning the hearts of the vietmeniese people. The U.S couldn't allow the communsits to win. So they supported Deim to win and knock out all possibilities of communism.

    As Diem became a bad leader, the people didn't like him. After he didn't agree to a U.S offer, the U.S aproved Diem to be taken out. Diem was killed.

    U.S troops opened fired on a village in Vietnam. They killed 300-500, the largest genosied commited by the U.S military. This action caused outrage by the people of the U.S. There were many protests after this event occured.

    Many students were protesting the expansion of the Vietnam War. Later in the night, the croud got crazy and started to vandalize things. Ohio national guard fired on a group of kids, killing 4 and wounding 9.
