Victor Jara was born on September 28, 1932. He was born in Lonquen, Chile. His full name is Victor Lidio Jara Martinez. His parents were poor farmers whose names were Amanda and Manuel. -
Working as a Child
Victor Jara had poor parents. Victors dad decided to have the kids work at their home instead of going to school. Victor had to take care of the pigs the family had and cut firewood. -

Victors dad had a drinking problem. After a couple of years with Victors dad not happy, he moved elsewhere. Victor's mom then had to take care of Victor and his siblings all alone. -

Death
Victor Jara dies at the age of 41. He died from being tortured and then was shot and killed. He was killed by Chilean officers during the Chilean presidential election. No one knows why this happened.
