    Wilson takes to the senate in an attempt to "meditate between the warring alliances" with a speech known as "A peace without victory.... A peace between equals." Germans later decline the peace wish from Wilson.

    The Zimmermann Note was originally a telegram from Germany to Mexico. Germany wanted to become alliances with Mexico and invade the Untied States. The note was decoded and released to the press, showing Americans Germany's plan.
