    US history in this time frame grew very fast in industry, population and technology. it is the time where many of the greatest milestones occured in America.

The workers including men, women, and children worked 10 hours a day 6 days a week with very little pay, usually not enough to feed their family. The working conditions were terrible and the workers had no benefits such as retirement.

    Pearl HarborOn this day japan dropped a bomb on Pearl Harbor. This killed over 3,000 people and detroyed six battle ships. This brought the United States into war the next day.

President truman decided that he had to use the atomic bomb. When the bomb dropped over 70,000 Japanese were vaporized and 100,000 more died from burns and radiation. The japanese surrenered on August 14th After the soviet union declared war on the country and a second bomb was dropped.
