Large companies created home pages to help sell products, soon after airline tickets, hotel reservations, books, and even cars and homes could be purchased online. It was also used for information provided by universities for their students. Also new forms of communication were introduced such as electronic mail, which was a convenient way to send messages to people. -
Terrorist Attack 9/11
9/11The Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. These attacks were used to target symbolic US building landmarks.
