    The American identity is a product of a blend between the cultures present in colonial America. These cultures include Western ones, like English, German, and Scot-Irish, but also Polynesian, Latin, Native American, and African. These cultures have blended to form what today is known as "the American Identity". This has been going on for around 10,000 years.

    Five days after Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant, Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. He was killed by John Wilkes Booth, a white supremisist and slavery supporter, on Good Friday at Ford's Theatre.
