    The Zimmerman Telegram
    The Telegram sent from Germany to Mexico, asking for an alliance to attack America if the opportunity arose. They also wished to include Japan in the event of that happening. It was intercepted by British Intelligence, and the German Foreign Secretary admitted it was genuine. This stirred the American people into an outrage, ultimately causing the US to enter the war.
