    Revolutionary War or the War Of Independence in the United States, began as a war between the Kingdom of Great Britain and the Thirteen Colonies, but gradually grew into a world war between Britain on one side and the newly formed United States, France, Netherlands, Spain, and Mysore on the other. France, Spain and the Dutch Republic all secretly provided supplies, ammunition and weapons to the revolutionaries, Treaty of Paris ended the war.
  • United States' Declaration of Independence.

    United States' Declaration of Independence.
    This was the day that the 13 American colonies went against Great Britain to declare their independence. They had them sign the contract on July 4th. This is why we celebrate the 4th of July.

    This is the day the Constitution went into effect. The Constitution of the United States is the ultimate law of the United States of America. It was written in seven different articles.

    On this date, the Louisiana Purchase was made. The Louisiana was purchased from France because of their desperate need of money. Once we bought the land, our country became 2x larger than it was.

    On this date, Lewis and Clark set off on a long and dangerous journey to search every corner of the Louisiana Territory. They rounded and brought about 40 people and left to go. As they traveled they met many dangerous animals and people such as bears and the Native Americans.

    This event was basicaly just another war for slavery to be removed. Nat Turnet led people to go against slavery in the August of 1831 at Southampton County, Virginia. He started this battle with some slave runaways, most of them were killed.

    It was on this day the soldiers of Santa Anna came and surrounded San Antonio. Mexicans faught the Alamo but the alamo wouldn't give up. They would fight 12 gruesome days until the "Battle of the Alamo" was finally over.

    Taking place in the Kansas Territory, the event "Bleeding Kansas: was about how people who wanted slaves fought those who were against them. During all this, Kansas was being voted at the time, voted to see if it was a free state or a slave state. In the end, the antislavery people succeeded and Kansas became a free state.

    81 Pioneers were traveling together in wagons as a group that they called the Donner Party. It was no longer they got trapped in the snow one day and faced many problems such as starvation and disease. This is when they started to turn into cannibals and decide the only way to survive was to eat other members of the Donner Party or be eaten theirself.

    This date some Mexcicans went out and ambushed an American patrol. Mexico that date came and invaded America, causing lots of bloodshed, that's when the congress declared war. It took a little over one year before America won the war.

Ever since his discovery people all over the world migrated to that area just to mine some of that precious gold. It was then, the American river in California was surrounded by many people who wanted to find gold, starting the Gold Rush.

    The assassination of President Abraham Lincoln took place on Good Friday. It occurred five days after General Robert E. Lee, surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant and the Union Army of the Potomac. Lincoln was the first American president to be assassinated. The cause of Lincoln's death was simply by being shot.

It involved the majority of the world's nations eventually forming two opposing alliances, the Allies and the Axis. It was the most widest war in history, with more than 100 million soldiers serving in the military from over 30 different countries.

    Attack on Pearl Harbor
    This was a surprise military attack against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, which caused 2,402 Americans to be killed. This attack led us to World War II.

    The bombings of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan were sent by the United States during the final stages of World War II. Following a firebombing campaign that destroyed many Japanese cities, the Allies prepared for an invasion of Japan. The war in Europe ended when the Nazis in Germany signed their surrender, but the war continued.

It was the result of the division of Korea by an agreement of the Allies at the conclusion of the Pacific War at the end of World War II.     Spider-Man's very first appearance was in a comic called- Amazing Fantasy #15. The publisher was Martin Goodman and he was surprised to find it to have been one of Marvel's highest-selling comics. The title eventually became Marvel's top-selling series with the character quickly becoming a popular icon.

    The 46th Super Bowl game involved the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs. This was the only Super Bowl game that was not sold out. The Green Bay Packers were the winners of this game.

    Ronald Reagan bacame the 40th president of the United States on this day. The Inauguration was held at the West Front of the United States Capitol Building. Reagan's speech that day was 2,452 words long.

    The Space Shuttle Challenger disaster occurred when Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart 73 seconds into its flight, leading to the deaths of its seven crew members. The spacecraft disintegrated over the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of central Florida. Disintegration of the entire vehicle began after an O-ring seal in its right solid rocket booster failed at liftoff.
