Louisiana Purchase
When President Tomas Jefferson wanted to New Oreleans from the french leader Napoleon, and Napoleon offered the whole Lousisana purchase. Jefferson didn't know wether he sould buy the Lousisana terrotory becasue it said nothing about buying states in the conisitution. Jefferson did buy the Louisiana terrtory for 15 million dollars. The Purshase caused the United States to double.

Lewis and Clark Journey
President Tomas Jefferson Hired Merriweather Lewis to explore the Louisiana terrority. Lewis asked Willam Clark to accompany him to explore the terrority. They traveled around the west with the help of a native-american girl named Sacagawea who helped them on the rest of their journey.

Texas Revolution
The Spainish Colonies offered americans to settle in Texas and lots of Americans came and then the Americans started to fight aginst the Spanish to own their land. The Spanish said that the Americans can't take the land so then the United States took the land and lets the Texans stay in their land.

Nat Turner's slave rebellion
Nat Turner was a slave who wanted to abolish savery. He knew how to read so he read the bible and that inspired him to tell other about lessons in the bible. Soon Nat Turner had many fallowers so he planned a rebellion aginst Virgina slave owners.Nat Turner and his fallowers killed 55 white virginians.

The Alamo
In this event there was a war between Mexico and Americans. These Americans wanted Texas to be their own nation so they were fighting the Mexicans for it. In one of the battles some of the Texans yelled " Rememeber the Alamo "

Mexicans thought it was a good idea to let americans settle in Texas but soon there were way to many americans settled in Texas so the Mecicans told americans to stop coming but the americans started fighting back to claim the land. Then the mexicans offered Texas for 30 millon dollars and the congress agreed.

Bleeding Kansas
During the presidental election, there were more proslavery settlers the antislavery settlers in Kansas. When the voting of what kind of state Kansas would be 5,000 Missouri residents came into Kansas to vote. Soon Kansas supported slavery. Abolitionists rejected the idea and started preparing waepons, soon a war would start. Later in the year a proslavery mob went into the town Lawrence and looted everything.
