    First Americans enter North America

    The very first Americans where Asians who crossed the the land bridge (giant slate of ice that used to connect Russia to Alaska).
  • 1492

    Christopher Columbus Lands in Jamestown

    Christopher Columbus Lands in what is now Jamestown some time in 1492 and he is known as the "discoverer" of America, but many people where already there, but he called them Indians because he thought he landed in India, why looking for a trade route.
  • Navigation Act of 1651

    Some time in 1651 the English created an act that only allowed trade between the colonies to be on English ships by English sailors. This ended in the Anglo-Dutch war in 1652

    French and Indian War

    This war was between the English and their colonies and New France and France. It was called this because the English had help from the native Americans.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    This was a proclamation made by the English government that made it impossible to legally settle new colonies west of the Appalachian mountains. This made the colonies really made.
  • Stamp Act

    In 1765 the English government decided to take tea and stamps only on the American colonies which made the colonies super mad.
  • Boston Massacre

    American colonists started to protest the stamp act which eventually made English troops fire on innocent people which pissed off the Colonists to the point to they started to talk about leaving Britain to make their own country. 5 people died, and 6 where injured.
  • Boston Tea Party

    This was when American colonists dressed as Native Americans boarded an English ship and threw tons of tea over the side, this was to protest British Parliament's tax on tea.

    American Revolution

    The American revolution was a period in time when America broke away from the English by force. This caused America to go the war with the British. The first battle was when British attempts to disarm the Massachusetts militia at Concord in April 1775 led to open combat. And ended when the Continental Army, led by General George Washington, won a decisive victory against the British Army, led by General Lord Charles Cornwallis in the siege of Yorktown.
  • Declaration of Independence

    This was a document by the American people declaring their independence from Britain and the creation of the new country of The United States of America. It was created in June–July 1776 and was ratified in July 4, 1776.
  • United States Constitution Signed

    The United States was signed to make the official laws of the new United states, right after it broke away from Britain. It was created September 17, 1787, and was ratified in June 21, 1788

    This was when the United States bought a large amount of land from the french that was named the Louisiana territory.

    This was when two men named Lewis and Clark explored the recently bought Louisiana Territory.
  • Election of 1828

    This was when Andrew Jackson won over John Quincy Adams by 642,553 popular voted to Adams 500,897 popular votes and 178 electoral votes compared to Adam's 83 electoral vote.
  • The Indian Removal act.

    This was when Andrew Jackson pushed many native Americans of their rightful promised land.

    Mexican American War

    This was a war between America and Mexico that caused many deaths for Mexico and few for America. This was mainly over who owned Texas, but their was also other lands that the US wanted that Mexico had.
  • Compromise of 1850

    The Compromise of 1850 was a package of five separate bills passed by the United States Congress in September 1850, which defused a four-year political confrontation between slave and free states on the status of territories acquired during the Mexican–American War (1846–1848). The compromise, drafted by Whig Senator Henry Clay of Kentucky and brokered by Clay and Democratic Senator Stephen Douglas of Illinois, reduced sectional conflict. Controversy arose over the Fugitive Slave provision.
  • Dred Scott Decision

    It was a court case that ended with the judge say that black people, "whether enslaved or free, could not be an American citizen and therefore had no standing to sue in federal court,[4][5] and that the federal government had no power to regulate slavery in the federal territories acquired after the creation of the United States."
  • Election of 1860

    This presidential election was between Abraham Lincoln and John C. Breckenridge. This ended in Lincoln being elected which concerned the south because they thought (and did) lose power in the country.

    This war was between the newly formed confederate states of America and the Union, the union won but, this caused the deaths of many Americans and made brothers fight brothers, and kids fight their own fathers.
