Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was a document declaring the colonies separation from Great Britain. it was mostly written by Thomas Jefferson but it was a composition of a 5 man team consisting of Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and two guys that didn't do anything. Within the Declaration it was noted how they want there government to be set up. It noted everything about the crown that they did not approve of and asked them to change. It formally declared war on Great Britain. -
