He dug a pathway near the base of the tower so that people could see the intricately crafted base. -
World War II Began
Luckily, a lot of monuments and buildings were destroyed in Italy, but the Leaning Tower of Pisa stayed safe. -
Re-designed
Engineers and historians came together to install a leaden counterweight to make sure the tower does not topple. -

It was declared this title.
