During the war, many men were away at war which meant nobody could work at their jobs. The women were recruited to start filing in for the men. This situation helped start women being able to work actual jobs even after the war and have them treated more equally. Eventually, as seen in the mentioned letter, women would also be allowed to vote after the war. -

a lot of progress was made because black people started to finally be treated equally after the was. Jeremiah Jones proved his worth in a white man’s army and saved his unit from a machine gun nest which is still known as one of Canadas greatest successes. Jones really helped to change the image of black people.
