    Welcome each student into the classroom, after the ice breaker begin to establish the foundation of your classroom. Have an open discussion about what a successful classroom may look like. What the students are excited about and what you are excited to do throughout the up coming school year.
  • Day Two- Rules

    Establishing classroom rules as a team. Together we will discuss what rules we find important and why. Children will have input and be able to discuss which ones they feel are important, together we will establish a list of criteria to help develop a successful classroom.
    Rules will be displayed as a reminder children will be able to relate too.
  • Day Three- Reviewing and Establishing

    Day Three- Reviewing and Establishing
    Through to the third day we will be able to model and implement corresponding consequences to the rules. The teacher will model the expectations of children. Together teacher and students will discuss consequences to not behaving or folioing the rules.
  • Forth Day- Routine

    Forth Day- Routine
    Introducing the following routine with the corresponding rules for children within the classroom. Establishing a routine children feel comfortable with and allowing children to discuss their concerns, experiences and suggestions. Creating the foundation for a successful learning experience.

    On the final day of the first week it is important to connect with parents. Allow parents to be a part of what you have establish and been working with as a class. Give details to the following rules and procedures you have established with the children that will create the foundation for successful learning this school year!
