    When the United States, completed the Transcontinental Railroad, it linked the East Coast and the West Coast. Made business go faster.
  • John D. Rockefeller starts Standard Oil

    John D. Rockefeller started and grew up to 90% of the Oil industry. He was the King of Oil.
  • Alexander Graham Bell invents the telephone

    Alexander Graham Bell didn't really do it. Antonio Muecci actually invented it but Bell is credited for inventing it.

    Thomas Edison invents the light bulb and people can work after sun-down. Factories can produce much more even after they have no light outside.

    Ellis Island was to keep diseased immigrants or bad immigrants out of our country. Ellis island filtered the immigrant out.

    The workers of Carnegie Steel's refused to work so they rebelled and Carnegie had them exterminated.

    Plessy vs. Ferguson
    This was a case of racial disputes and racial rights. In the end of this case, blacks were known as "separate but equal".

    A group of Americans that lived in Hawaii overtook Hawaii's king and then the President took over from there.

    This act fixed the tenements where the immigrants lived. The tenements were poorly ventilated, did not have windows leading outside, and had a closed courtyard.

    Philippines were taken over by the US. If the US did not take the Philippines over then Germany would.

    When these acts were passed, the meat packing industries were cleaned up and made food safer for people to eat.
