  • The Hero

    The Hero
    In October, Napoleon had to defend delegates. Napoleon becomes the hero, because he defeated the royalists. He became known as the savior of French Republic.
  • Leading the French Army

    Leading the French Army
    Napoleon lead the French Army which went against forces of Austria and Kingdom of Sardinia. He gets into Italy and was very victorious. He then manages an expedition to Egypt trying to take care of French trade. He made French people seem he was being successful, but he actually decade, and his army was destroyed.
  • Re-obtaining power

    Re-obtaining power
    Napoleon returned from Egypt and everyone told him to obtain power again. In November he became the first consul and got the power of director. Also, Britain, Austria, and Russia went together against Napoleon.
  • The New Constitution

    The New Constitution
    People voted to be able to create and approve the new constitution. The new constitution was approved, and this gave power to Napoleon. Napoleon created a different nation then the one Louis XVI had created.
  • Restoring order

    Napoleon started constructing again the production of sugar, and obtaining the colony. The French forces suffered with diseases. Rebels showed that they would fight a lot.
  • Peace is obtained

    Peace is obtained
    The three nations create peace with France. Europe finally was able to be in peace after 10 years. Napoleon was able to create order again in France.
  • The new emperor

    The new emperor
    Napoleon becomes the emperor. In December he walked the aisle of the Cathedral in Notre Dame Paris, and got his crown. He then said that he had more power then the church.
  • Battle of Trafalgar

    Battle of Trafalgar
    The Battle of Trafalgar occurred in which Napoleon was defeated. Horatio Nelson was in warfare at sea and Napoleon was in warfare at land. He then was able to obtain many ships.

    In Nov 1806 Napoleon created a blockade which is a forcible closing of ports. He made this to prevent the trade and communication between Great Britain and European nations. Napoleon called this the Continental System because it made the continent Europe more self sufficient

    -In 1808 Napoleon created a second costly mistake because he wanted to get Portugal to accept the Continental System so he sent an invasion force through Spain. So the Spanish people protested because of this. Because of this Napoleon removed the Spanish king and put his brother.

    Napoleon controlled all areas except Britain, Portugal, Sweden, and the Ottoman Empire. Spain, Grand Duchy of Warsaw, and German Kingdoms in Central America were also controlled by Napoleon. Russia, Prussia and Austria were also united with Napoleon.

    -In 1812 the U.S congress declared war on Britain because they were angry at British the British navy. This war lasted for two years but it was a minor inconvenience to Britain with their struggle of Napoleon.

    -In 1812 Napoleon made his most horrible mess. In June, he and his army, with more than 42,000 soldiers, marched into Russia. When Napoleon advanced, Alexander pulled his troops because he refused to go int the battle.
  • Battle of Borodino

    Battle of Borodino
    -On Sept 7, 1812 the armies finally went in the Battle of Borodino. After hours of fighting Russia fell so Napoleon could go to Moscow. When he entered Moscow after one week the city was in flames
  • Getting on Battle

    -In Oct. of 1813 Napoleon could raise another army but his troops were untrained and couldn't enter the battle well. He could face the allied armies of the European powers in Germany City.
  • Getting exiled

    Getting exiled
    -In April of 1814 Napoleon accepted his surrender and defeat and he gave up his throne. The Victors punished Napoleon and exiled him to elba island in the Italian Coast. They did this thinking he would not come back
  • Going back to France

    Going back to France
    -In March of 1815 he escaped Elba and went to France. The joyous crowds received and welcomed him on the March to Paris.After some days passed when he came back he was emperor of France again.

    -On June of 1815 Napoleon attacked and the British army defended their ground for all the day. That afternoon the Prussian army arrived and the forces of the british and prussian attacked the French
  • Hundred Days

    Hundred Days
    -The las defeat ended him and his power and it was called the Hundred Days. Then in 1821 he died of a stomach ailment that could be cancer.
