    A system that garunteed each white male 200 acres of land and 50 acres for every extra family member. It was enforced on the eastern side of the Oconee River. This was helpful because it circulated the land through different family.
  • University of Georgia

    University of Georgia
    A University in Georgia, which was the first land grant in American Universities. This university took over teaching for the churches, thus creating a better atmoshpere for learning, and it expanded Georgia's economy because it attracted people to come and, not only learn at the university, but it allowed them to buy thins in stores, and buy various other things
  • Cotton Gin

    A machine created by Eli Whitney That helped cotton piciking productivity because it helped pick the seed of the cotton from the cotton bowl. It wasn't pattented by Eli Whitney, so people copied his invention and made money from his invention (no day on the sheet)

    A problem between the landowners and the government due to the government selling the land to land companies, and then the companies selling the land back to other people. This eventually lead to the dissatisfaction of the people and the land was eventually sold back to the people through the Land Lottery

    For a sum of money, A white male over 21 could buy a chance to spin a wheel for a large plot of land. This was enforced on the West side of the Oconee River. This allowed the land and the money paid for the land to be circulated throughout the economy.

It was used to transport goods,people,and many other things.This helped the economy of Georgia by allowing people of otheer states to come to Georgia to spend money, and go to the University
