    The French financially helped The Americans against Britain as it was in their interest for Britain to not have the colonies. This placed France placed in bankruptcy but also gave ideas to the French common people that included liberty and political​ reform.

    Estates General convene at Versailles
    Last met in 1614, called together when King Louis XVI wanted to input taxes to help alleviate debt. The nobles did not agree and said if he was to try and pass these taxes he need approval from the Estates General. The Estates General being a representative body from all three classes, The clergy in the first, Nobles in the 2nd and 3 being anyone with out a title or associated with the church with made up approximately​ 98% of the total population.

    Each estate held a single vote even given the third held well over 50% of the population. The nobility and clergy also sat in a single room for the meeting while the thirst estate was to sit in another room, the third demanded that they should all sit together, when this did not happen they refused to continue business. Come clergy who had come from the third estate sided with them and they became​ the National Assembly,

    When the delegates of the third estate were not permitted in their meeting room, they held up in the tennis court and pledged they would not disband until they had created a new constitution.

    The tension was building as the people of Paris were poor and many without jobs while the price of bread continued to grown leaving many starving. The mob stormed the Bastille, which was now a political prison hoping to gain firearms as the Kings arm was advancing on the city, fear fueled by rumors that the country's financial crisis was brought on by the extravagant lifestyle of the king and his family. The people were also mad at the dismissal of the well-liked​ finical advisor of the king.

    peasants all over had begun to revolt their land owners, wanting to free themselves from manorial rights. They were successful and delegates of Versailles agreed to abolish all old noble. As time continued the peasants sought to keep this great victory.

    he returned to appease a mob of women who had stormed Versailles they were upset with the price of bread and Marie Antoinette. the king was essentially a prisoner of the people in the capitol.

    The people of France did not take kindly to the Declaration of Phillnitz. A group of extreme revolutionists called the Jacobin club led this war of the people of France against the Austria and Prussia who sided with Austria.

    New assembly chose five men executive name the Directory who then took rule over to prevent another mob like radical ruling.

    Napoleon in the dissatisfaction that the Directory held with the people seized control and declares himself Emperor of the French or the new Caesar. Being a great military leader the people accept his take over, this leads to a 15 year ruling and the Napoleonic Era.

    all unmarried men were drafted making their army large and unstoppable when coupled with the devout patriotism that the Frenchmen fighting the war had.

    Robespierre was executed when he continued his terror and beheading or people including those closest to him, this then led to the middle-class lawyers who were once in charge taking charge once again. The Catholic church was brought back after having been pushed aside for not accepting the revolution as is counter their ideals that the King ruled by Divine intervention.
