    The French and Indian War is not a war between the French and the Indian. It is the war between the French joined with the Indians agianst the British. The war was for power and land. Yet the fact that England won the war , they lost great amounts of money. Which stars the American Revolution.

    The Proclamation of 1763
    This is the proclamation signed by the Parliment of Great Britian after the French and Indian War. The proclamation banned colonists from passing over the Appalation Mountians into the Ohio River Valley Territory.

    Sugar Act
    After the French and Indian War the Parliment needed money. In order for them to get money they had to tax America. So the taxed imported sugar and molasses.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    The British needed more money. So they made the Americans buy an expensive stamp whenever they bought something. But this act started the rebellion in the 13 colonies. Boycotts, even torturing stamp agents was going on just because King George the Third need money.

    This is an act passed by the parliment to the colonies. The act is not regarding money, but British soldiers. If the British soldier's barracks too small for the soldier, if a colonist owns a barn, inn, tavern, or an ale house, they are required to house the soldier.

    This is a new law passed by King George and the Parliment. The law states that the 13 colonies have no freedom and King George has complete control over them no matter what. And this made colonists mad.

    Townshend Act
    The British still need money, so Charles Townshend created the Townshend act. The Townshend act taxed all imported goods, no matter where it came from. This caused caused women to start boycotting too. They made their own silk for clothing, and made theirown jewelery and pottery.

    After being hated and pressured, the British soldiers pull out their guns. After a whole lot of men in Boston croud them and make rude remarks and just keep getting closer, and closer, and closer. One solier hits a man with the butt of his gun. The croud gets angrier. Finally one British soldier in a panic pulls the trigger and hits a man and kills him. The soldier was not charged for murder. To this day we know that event as the Boston Massacre

    The Committees of Correspondence
    A quicker way to get mail and seceret messages around the 13 colonies. The messages were used for Patriot use only. The used messengers on horeback to deliver messages,, like Paul Revere.

    The Parliment answers the the colonists and repeals all the taxes on products, exept for one. The Parliment decides to continue taxing tea, a well used and known drink. But the colonist did not agree, they were furious!

    Boston Tea Party
    Samuel Adams and a group of Patriotic men went out of the warm tavern dressed like Indians with axes just to make a point. They climbed up onto a British boat full of tea and threw the tea over board into the ocean. The men did not damage the boat, they just wanted the tea. Later into the night a group of Redcoats, also known as British soldiers, took the freedom crazy men of the boat and arrested some of them.

    When the Parliment heard about the Boston Tea Party, they didn't take it well. The Parliment shut down the Boston Harbor, and trading was no more. No one was aloud to leave or enter threw the Boston Harbor, and Boston lost a lot of money a people.

    A group of untrained men form an army , the leader was George Washington the old former British Commander. This group of people called themselves the Patriots, and the fought for what they believed in.

    When the Minutemen marched into the town of Lexington, they found British soldiers, These soldiers weren't on guard, they were just making rude remarks and jokes about the Minutemen. The Minutemen didn't take that well, the two teams were yelling at eachother, then the argueing stopped when a gun was fired, to this we don't know who shot first, but the crowd got into deep battle, and the Revolutionary War started!

    When the Battle of Lexington and Concord started everyone realized, "This is war!" The American Revolution has started.This is known as the rebellion of the American. The war was very rough and the Americans lost a lot of battles, But in the end we gladly won. Then to really end it the British signed the Treaty of Paris with the French and ended the war.

    Finally George Washington forms his army and names it the Continental Army. George tellls the heat and pressure of war and what they will will be fighting, The strongest army in the world agianst amateurs.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    Patriot forts are now all over the place, and so are British forts. One specific fort is on Breeds Hill, MA, and Bunker Hill, MA, was attack by British war ships. The battle mainly happened on Breeds Hill but is knowns as the battle of Bunker Hill. The British eventually took the base and won the battle, but it's not over.

    Thomas Paines Common Sense was a pamphlet that was very famous at the time, but was not very liked by the king. The pamphlet was about why a government of our own is a natural right.

    The Declaration of Independence is a document written mainly by Thomas Jefferson.But Benjamin Franklin and John Adams also helped and looked over it. The document stated our freedom from England and the king. After this document we were free from Great Britian and have the freedom to do anything you want under the small amount of laws our new government makes.

    This was a very daring battle for the British, and very important battle for the Americans. The British think they can end the war by gathering up 7,000 British soldiers to fight the Americans, but they thought wrong. The Patriots hit the with even more power and won the battle. That day the Americans won the trust of the French.

    The Battle of Yorktown
    America is not having the best of times after losing a lot of battles, finally they all run into General Cornwallis, and break into battle. The battle continued on throughout the small town of Yorktown. The battle continued for three weeks all until General Cornwallis surrendered all British forces over the American forces, which means the Americans won the Revolutionary War!
