    Thomas Kuhns education

    Kuhn's studies originated in physics and made the switch to study the history of science. As he went on, he moved towards the philosophy of science. This did not deter him from physics. In 1943, Kuhn graduated from Harvard. His education did not stop there; attaining his masters in physics in 1946, and his doctorate also in physics in 1949. (Bird,2018)

    In 1962, Thomas Kuhn authored a book called "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions". This book altered history, and the way people think about and understand the world. Kuhn introduced the paradigm shift which revolutionized science.     In 1982 Thomas Kuhn was awarded The Sarton Medal, the most prestigious award of the History of Science Society, honors George Sarton, the founder of Isis and one of the founders of the modern phase in the history of science.
