Start of 3rd Voyage
He went on the voyage in search of the Nothwest Passage. He was the first person to reach the Bering Strait that seperates Serbia, Russia and Alaska. The atmosphere changed and Cook moved away from the island to continue his quest of discovery. -
Nothwest Passage
After a short period spent searching for the Northwest Passage Cook realised that it was too late in the year to make any progress and so sailed for warmer winter quarters in the Hawaiian Islands, arriving there in December 1778. -
Death

End of 3rd Voyage
His crew continued the voyage and did make it back to England in 1780. It was not that successful of a journey because they did not find the Northwest Passage and Cook and four of his men were killed.
