    As a famous outdoorsman, Theodore was invited to map out the path of the Rio Da Duvida or "River of Doubt" with Colonel Candido Randon and his son Kermit.

    The group was about to give wup when they came upon 30 ft waterfalls. Although the expedition was saved by Kermit since he had an extensive knowledge of bridges and ropes and figured out a way to lower the canoes down the falls.

    The expedition came to an end and the final head count hovered around 7. A ship was signaled and the party was taken to New York where Theodore quickly got medical help.
