The Trojan War

The Cicones

1200 BCE

After the they won the war, Odysseus and his men went to ismarus. it was the land of the Cicones who were allies of the Trojans. The greeks had stole from the Cicones but while doing that the cicones had attacked the greeks and killed most of Odysseus men

The Trojan War Starts

1200 BCE

Odysseus went with the Greek army to fight in the Trojan war. he had left his wife Penelope, and his son, Telemachus. Odysseus came up with a plan by creating a giant wooden horse and giving it to the Trojans as a "gift" but the Greeks hid inside and at night they ambushed the Trojans

The Lotus Eaters

1199 BCE

As they were sailing zues had sent a storm and it lasted for 9 days before they landed on an island where there was lotus plants. Some of Odysseus men ate the plants and it made them want to stay on the island forever. Odysseus was able to get some of his men back to the ship but only two men were left behind.

The Cyclops

1198 BCE

After Odysseus and his 12 men left the island they came across another island as they were exploring it they came across a Cyclops the cyclops wasn't friendly as they tried talking to him but the cyclops ate two of his men and went to sleep. Odysseus stabbed it in the eye so that the cyclops would wake up woke up

Laestrygonians

1196 BCE

When Odysseus and his men came across another island they ran into the Laestrygonians who were cannibals they killed many of his men and only 45 were left

King Aeolus

1195 BCE

Aeolus was the king of winds who Odysseus met with after getting away from the cyclops. Aeolus gave Odysseus two bags one with bad winds and another one with good winds

the witch

1194 BCE

Odysseus and his men arrived to a place called Aeaea where witch lives. Odysseus told his men to split into groups when they came across the witch the witch had turn his men into pigs. He then saved them but he and his men had to go the death island where he went to the underworld and saw his dead mom and he had to fight his way through the under world

Helios

1193 BCE

When they got to helios circe had said that there was cattle and not eat the cattle but Odysseus and his men ate the cattle and all of his men was killed but Odysseus

Calypso

1186 BCE

Odysseus went to an island of the goddess, Calypso,. Odysseus had to stay there for 7 years after his 7 years was over the goddess wanted him to stay but Odysseus wanted to go home with is family

Ithaca

1180

After 20 years of being away Odysseus returns home and tells the king about his journey and finally returns with his wife and son
