    The Vietnamese people wanted France out of their country so a guerrilla-type revolutionary organization, the Viet Minh, formed to drive out the French. France was eventually pussed out and then the Geneva Acords were signed.

    Communist North Korea and American occupied southern half were divided by the 38th parallel. Began when North Korea invaded South Korea, with the US help South Korea fought off North Korea.

    The war begun to support South Vietnam but qucikly became much more. After as many as 58,000 american deaths and riots the war was finally ended when the US withdrew from the country compleatly.

    After Castro came into power the US government distrusted him, JFK was briefed on a mission to train and send 1400 Cuban exiles to overthrow the government. Cuba finds out about US invlovement after a faild airstrike, and Castro sent 20,000 troops to the beach to await the troops.

    After the Bay of Pigs failure Russias premier had a secret agreement with Cuba to place Russian nuclear missiles in Cuba ot avoid any further invastion attempts. After an American blockade after some serious negotiatiing the missiles were pulled out of cuba.
