The Day I was Born
I was born on December 27, 1996. This was my first event and it was a a big event for my family and I. I was the second child born in my family alongside my sister who was born 10 years before me. -
Moving to Canada
On November 15th, 2001, my family and I moved to Canada, this is significant because it completely changed the lifestyle of my parents and I because it introduced a completely different system and way of living than the one I had when I lived in Ukraine. It also introduced new opportunities for me in getting a better job than I might have had in Ukraine and a better education in Canada so this event was very significant for me. -
First Day in Kindergarten
This was a significant event because it was my first day going to Kindergarten and it was an all new experience for me. It was my first day experienceing school and education and getting to know new people. It was an interesting experience and helped me get used to the education and people I would be surrounded by later on in life as I started going to elementary school, middle school, etc. -
My First Vacation
My first vacation ever occured in February 15th, 2004, this was my first time leaving an urban setting from which I have been surrounded by my entire life (Canada and Ukraine), and entering a tropical setting in the Dominican Republic. This was significant to me because it helped me understand a new type of peace and relaxation from the business and noise that I was usually surrounded by. -
First time taking Piano Lessons
This event was significant to me because it helped me grow a better understanding of music than before and I understood the experience of taking lessons for something as it was my first time taking lessons in general. Even though today I don't take piano lessons anymore, the experience from my piano lessons was significant because it helped me develop a liking for more broader ranges of music, as well as learn to play more instruments than just the piano. -
First Competition
On July 18th, 2007 was my first ever swimming competition and competition in general, this competition was significant to me because I understood what it felt like to be under real pressure and the consequences of letting your team down, as well as the competitiveness and the adrenaline rush you get when you are competing against someone in something -
My First Day of High School
My first day of high school was on September 5th 2010, this was significant to me because it was much different than elementary school and middle school. High school brings many opportunities and a lot of important decisions have to be made. they will decide what kind of career I will have in the future and which university/college I will go to. It also was my first experience in understanding the sense of independence that you get from being in high school as well as meeting new people. -
My First Visit back to Ukraine
This was a significant event because it was my first time coming back to Ukraine and seeing the place in which I was born. It was a brand new experience and helped me understand more about the city I used to live in and meet relatives that I didn't get a chance to meet or haven't seen in a long time, as well as learn about the country's culture and it's differences in society compared to Canada.
