The battle of hill 70 was a battle a few months after Vimy Ridge and was on August 12-15, 1917. After that heroic win the British army sent in Canada again. They then again used good Canadian smarts and made a surprise assault on the Germans on the hill. The hill was 70 meters above sea level. That is why it is called hill 70.
