    The battle of hill 70 was a battle a few months after Vimy Ridge and was on August 12-15, 1917. After that heroic win the British army sent in Canada again. They then again used good Canadian smarts and made a surprise assault on the Germans on the hill. The hill was 70 meters above sea level. That is why it is called hill 70. Canadian soldiers also once again prevailed in this battle again.

But the Canadians captured the ridge in less than a month from October to November.

This made the Germans outnumbered and caused the to retreat out of France.
