    The French and British fought to decide who has control of America. British won the war, it was a nine year war.
  • The Sugar Act

    The parliament put a taxation on sugar and molasses as a revenue-raising act. Colonist were not to happy about that.
  • The Quartering Act

    The Quartering Act
    Parliament made a law to local governments of the American colonies to provide shelter and food to the British soldiers that did not fit in the barracks. Colonist were outraged at this act to being forced to shelter in random soldiers in their own property.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Parliament made an act/law to tax on many printed material as a way for them to get money out of the colonist. The colonist were outraged because they didn't get a voice on the stamp act.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    Britain soldiers fired at a crowd of protesting colonist, killing 5 during the process. Paul Revere created a propaganda of the British army.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    Protest on tax on tea, resulted a group of colonist disguised as "Mohawks" to board on ships that contain tons of tea and they dumped it over into the sea to show they do no agree on the act.

    He defended strong resolutions for equipping the Virginia militia to fight against the British in a fiery speech. That speech was memorable the no one, who ever heard him say that speech, ever forgot it.
  • Paul Revere's Ride and the battles of Lexington and Concord

    Paul Revere's Ride and the battles of Lexington and Concord
    Paul Revere warn the colonist/militia that the Britain army was coming. A battle raged on between the Americans and the British, where the Americans where outnumbered and came victorious on the battle on Concord.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    About 2,300 British soldiers cleared the hill from the Americans. It cost about 40% of the Britain assault force, making it more than a moral victory to the Americans.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
    Congress recommended the colonies to form their own governments, thus creating the Deceleration of Independence. We celebrate that event on the 4th of July.
