Mrs. Pelzer gave birth to a child she named David -
The Garage
when David turned 4 his mother stopped caring for him and he had to live in the cold garage. most days he would be stiff and sore other he would be just cold. -
Bad Burn
when he was 8 David's mother made a new "game" she held David's arm over the stove to see how hot it got resulting in an arm full of burns. -
Get Out of The House
when David was 10 years old his mother and father got into a huge fight, his father was trying to stand up for him and his mother was not very happy that he said what she was doing was wrong. so she gave David a huge decision to make especially as a 10-year-old boy. -
court date
when David was 11 he had to go to court against his mother. this was a difficult process for him to go through because he believed that if he told the truth about what his mother did to him that she would get him in trouble again when they got home -
The Catanze's
David met Mr. and Mrs. Catanze the day that he was declared a ward of the court. This was David's first official Foster Care home. -
Stealing
After David started feeling more used to being at the Catanze house he started to think that he would not get in trouble if he started doing things he knew he shouldn't be doing. so he decided to start stealing. it started out where he would just steal a couple of candies and then the kids on the block tried to get him stealing toys for them. until he got caught then sent to jail -
Finally a Normal Kid Again
After David got out of jail the Catanze's wanted him to feel like a child again and even though they were very frustrated with him and everything he had done wrong they wanted the best for him, one day his mother brought his bike back and so they wanted to get him back on the bike but just so that he would learn his lesson he had to fix it first. the second he got back on the bike he fixed himself he felt like a normal happy child again. -
Ward of The Court
After David tells the court what truly happened to him while he was behind the doors of the prison he called home the court gave him a big choice they asked him if he wanted to go home. David made a good decision that day by deciding to stay a ward of the court until the day he turns 18. -
Jail
after David was caught stealing a toy for one of the kids on the block he got sentenced to jail time it was very difficult for him but he got through it.
