    The 19th amendment was giving women the right to vote. In 1920 all of the protesting they did finally payed off and still is to this day.

    In 1920 the federal government outlawed all alcoholic beverages. Which is initially supposed to be the states decision. It had many effects following it such as bootleggers, cotton clubs, and many illegally handled beverages.
