    On September 14th the Ravens handed Cleveland a 20 point loss led by their running back Jamal Lewis. Lewis had an outstanding performance in this game and broke the single game rushing yards record by rushing for 295 yards. The record held until Adrian Peterson surpassed it by one yard.

The Ravens had missed the playoffs the past two years and only had 6 wins the year before but this year they won their first 4 contests and clinched the first round bye. Harbaugh had a very impressive first season with a record of 11-5 and was one of the main reasons that the Ravens drafted Flacco and Rice as they were important to his plans for the team.

    The Ravens did horrible in the 2007 season and had a weakness at the quaterback position and running back spot as they released Jamal Lewis. Baltimore decided that they would use their 18th overall pick on quaterback Joe Flacco, who is currently their starting qb and has won a Super Bowl with the Ravens. In the second round the Ravens drafted running back Ray Rice who had an amazing career until 2014 when he was suspended from the league for beating his wife.

    The Baltimore Ravens this season had one of the most feared rosters in the league with names like Lewis, Reed, Rice, and Suggs just to name a few. They played the Colts, Broncos and Patriots in the playoffs before advancing to the Super Bowl. The Ravens beat the Broncos in a double overtime thriller and won 38-35. In the finals the Ravens played the 49ers, the coaches of each team just so happened to be brothers. The Ravens won the contest 34-31 and received their second franchise Superbowl.

    The Baltimore Ravens franchise's first pick ever was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Ogden is the only player in the Hall of Fame to play his whole career in Baltimore, and is also the younmgest inductee.
