Although these tools were of great help in the teaching and learning process, they didn´t allow students to have moments of participation and interaction, which is very important aspect of language teaching.

    In the 1990s, the appearance of the digital period brought CDs and the internet. The textbooks in this era had in them not only CDs but also CD ROMs which had traditional activities that did not foster the participation and interaction between the students. However, the internet provided us with a lot of downloadable material as well as tools that encouraged participation and interaction among students, such as email and forums.
  • Web 2.0

    Web 2.0
    The rise of the Web 2.0 has drastically changed the language learning. This web provided us with a lot of new communicative tools, like chats, blogs and social networks. These tools were very helpful in the participation and interaction between students and allowed them to become the main character on the Web.
