  • Computer Lab

    Computer Lab
The first time I used a computer was at school. I remember the computer lab was in the room we had to walk through to get to my Kindergarten classroom. We didn't go to the computer lab often in elementary school but when we did it was to play games. Image from Google.
  • Nintendo 64

    Nintendo 64
My brother is 4 years older than me and always got all of the latest game consoles and games to play with. The N64 was the last game console that had cartridges. Those were the best because if they stopped working all you had to do was blow into the bottom of the game cartridge and it would start working again, not like with the playstation games that were CD-Roms. We would play video games for hours at a time. Image from commons.wikimedia.org
  • Music Players

    Music Players
The Walkmans started in the 1980's and everyone had them. I remember carrying mine around with me whereever I went. I had so many CD's and I always hated when they would get a scratch on them. Image from Google.
  • Waiting on AOL

    Waiting on AOL
I will not forget the sounds the dial up modem made when trying to connect to America Online. I wasn't on the computer much until middle school and high school. My mom would always yell at me for being online too much because it tied up the phone line. Image from arstechnica.com
  • My First Laptop

    My First Laptop
I remember when we got my very first laptop computer. I was so excited to have my own computer to use. I didn't get it until I was in high school so I could have something to look-up information on without having to wait for my brother or other family members to finish on the home computer. Laptops were invented in the 1980's. Image from happyshoppinglife.com
  • Wifi at School

    Wifi at School
I didn't have wifi until I moved out of my parents house and went to college at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. It was so nice to not have an ethernet cord to drag around the house when I was using my laptop. Wifi is known as a wirless networking technology that allows computers, phones, ipads, game consoles, and other devices to communicate over a wireless signal. Image from thewindowsclub.com
  • Iphone 3G

    Iphone 3G
The Iphone 3G is a smartphone that was designed by Apple Inc. Smartphones have changed the way people communicate with each other. It is so easy to text, call, or factime anyone that you want to talk to. You can also buy apps and different games to have on your phone anytime you want to use them. Image by allthingsd.com
  • IPAD 2

    IPAD 2
The IPAD 2 was released in March of 2011. I received mine for my birthday in August. I still have it and use it daily. I use it more in my classroom then I do at home. It was so nice to have something available at your fingertips. It was so compact that you can carry it anywhere and it's not as heavy as a laptop. Image from Amazon.
