Invented by Amazon, the Kindle has become one of the primary technologies used for reading e-books. Pretty much everyone uses them now, as it is a faster way of downloading and instantly starting to read a book without ever even having to leave your home. -
Uber
Invented by Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp, this transportation giant did a lot for people. I helped those that do not have a car for one reason or another to still be self-sufficient without the help of family and friends to drive them places, and it gave people an easy way to get a job. Not a lot is required to work as an Uber, so this can be life-changing for those that cannot get jobs. -

The most impressive piece of gaming technology in this decade, the Oculus VR, invented by Palmer Luckey, created a whole new experience with gaming. Now, gamers were able to get a more personal, in-depth experience playing video games, as the virtual reality literally sends you into a whole other world.
