Louis calls the Estates-General
This was the first estates general to be called since 1614. The first item on the agenda was to decide how to vote by estate or all together. The third estate was locked out of the decision causing them to form the national assembly. -
Tennis Court Oath
After being locked out of the meeting of the estates-General the third estate gathered in a nearby tennis court. They took an oaht to keep meeting untill their demands were met. -
Storming of the Bastille
A mob of revolutionaries stormed the prison of the bastille that had become a storehouse of weapons. They slaugtered th gaurds freed the prisoners. Then began tearing the fortress down brick by brick. -
Decleration of Rights of Man
This decleration was the fundamental values of the french reveloution.Presented by the national assembly. It was influenced by the constitution and the ideas of the enlightenment era. -
March to Versailles
Rioting began in the marketplace of paris over the increased price in bread. This grew into an enourmous mob with revolutionary ideas that began marching on the pallis of versallis. Forced royal family to come to Paris. -
Louis's Trial
He was accused with 33 charges against france and the french people. He was voted guilty with a unanimos decision. His punishment was death. -
The Terror
This was a period of intense violence during the french revolution spearheaded by robspierre. Everyone and anyone who was suspected of being an enemy of the revolution was immediatley executed. -
Robespierre Killed
He was killed by the other members of the government because he had become to extreme in his methods and was sentenced to death by beheading.
