    Howie joined the Montreal Canadians in 1923, and became a hockey star and idol. Hickey was a big part of entertainment in the 1920's
  • Mary Pickford stars in "little annie rooney"

    Mary pickford was born in Canada, and became a famous actor that canadians watch had during the roaring twenties. She was known as America's sweatheart. Film and theatre was very popular in this time period.

    A canadian athlete that competed in the summer Olympics and held a record for 100 and 200m sprints. He was the winner of these races in 1928

    Stock market crashed. This was tragic because many people invested in stocks as leisure and entertainment in hopes of making some money off of it.

    This group ended around 1933 and became popular during the 1920's. Their art is a big change in the art culture. They were known for painting canadian landscapes in a more abstract style which was very different. Their art was very popular during this time.
