    schools are required to have "Child Find" procedures to locate, evaulate and count children who may hbae disabilities. Child Find must be conducted for children who are:
    in public and private schools
    homeless, highly mobile, and migrant
    in state custody
    transitioning from Family-Centered Early Supports and Services ages 2.5-21
    public school- parents make referral to school district where they live
    private school- parents make referall to where the school is located
