  • Board of EDU vs. Rowley

    Board of Education vs. Rowley (1975.) The court concluded that the students IEP was written to benefit the child’s educational plan, and also complied with the IDEA Act.This case has supported students with disabilities because it allows them to be placed in the classroom with regular students. It also allows parents to show concerns about their students and to be hear out.
  • Timothy W. v. Rochester

    Timothy a disabled child with more than one disabilities responded to sounds so His parents felt he deserved a normal education. Once denied education, the courts decided that Timothy was too disabled so he was not educational handicapped. The court denied him education sever times. In February of 1989, the court stated “the opinion that any children with qualifying disabilities, especially those with severe disabilities are entitled to special education and related services.” Steketee, 2014
  • US vs. Lopez

    Lopez brings a gun to a gun free zone. The crime was appealed all the way to the supreme court. Who has the power to determine if this was a crime or not. Congress determined that it is a crime and that it was violated. The Lopez case provides current students with safety when going to school for students and the community.
