Poor white and black people rebelled against the government specifically William Berkley. They rebelled against greedy wealthy farmers and planation owner who were treating them poorly and over working slaves. This helped bring whites and blacks of the lower class together -

this "law" made it easier to trader slaves, slaves didn't have to be treated as well, limited freedoms even more than before, a darker time than usual in slaves life -

Denmark Vesey was an enslaved African carpenter who bought backhis freedom, he planned a revolt to help others and he gets caught along with 34 others and they are hung for their actions -

A war between the South and the North over slavery. North wants it abolished and the South wants to keep having slaves. North wins. -
13th Amendment
this amendment was passed making slavery officially illegal in the U.S, though south still wanted slaves -
I Promise
The remaining slaves were promised their freedom, they could be indentured servants and work off debts, this never happened, the slaves were very angry but didn't rebel quite yet. This was a last minute effort by slave owners to keep their "slaves" and not break laws -
