    Simon was born on July 24th 1783 in caracas, venezuela. He was born to a wealthy family where his father died when he was 3 and his mother died when he was 6 years old. Bolivia was not able to have children of his own due to having the measles and mumps at a young age.

    1783 The teacher Simon Bolivar was influenced by was Don Simon Rodriguez who taught him the ideas of liberty, enlightenment, and freedom. He became interested in the vision of the American and French Revolutions.

    In 1802 Simon Bolivar got married to Maria Rodriguez, however shortly after they both returned to vanzuela, She had died from yellow fever. He never remarried but had a close relationship with Manuela Saenz.

    in 1813, he was given his first military Command in Tunja, Columbia. He began a successful military campaign trying to liberate venezuela from spanish forces and resorting the venezuelan republic. His first attempt did not work and he fled to Jamaica to avoid being killed.

    1819 In Spring Bolivia conceived his master plan of attacking the viceroyalty of New Granada. His army consisted of 2,500 men. They marched in water for seven days and most of the royalist army surrendered to Bolivar.

    In 1816~ Bolivar along with help from other forces from Haiti was able to arrive in Venezuela. They began a long campaign to take back Venezuela from the Spanish. He was involved in many military battles and claimed several territories.
