SixDegrees was the first ever social media site. SixDegrees was a site where you could list friends and family. Also, it was about posting your connections or your top six degrees.

LiveJournal was the first blogging platform where people could post or read other blogs at the time. This social media site was a Russian social network and further down the road we got a lot more blogging sites.

LinkedIn is a way that people can look for jobs while creating a profile that employers can look at. This created a way that people could advance their careers within social media.

Vine was a social media platform where people could post 6 second videos. This site changed people as it has evolved people culture wise and people quote them constantly.
