KIDNAPED
At first, the storyteller was in a dark place. Some days later, he realised that he was in a small room, whose walls were made of metal. It was not dark at all. He was tied to a bed and he couldn’t move. He tried to eat a piece of meat, but the taste was terrible. There was a painting of Time in the ceiling, which had a real sharp blade, moving like a pendulum. -
THE RATS
The pendulum was moving faster and faster. Suddenly, some rats appeared. The storyteller thought that was his next tourture. But he had a brilliant idea. He put some food on the rope and let the rats bit it. Unluckily, the sharp pendulum frightened the rats and they ran away. -
THE RESCUE
The storyteller heard some noises, such as human voices. He thought that he was going to die. By surprise, somebody held him. It was a French soldier. French army captured Toledo and people were free. -
THE GOLD BUG
Legrand and Jupiter were walking for a long time by the shore when they found a strange bug. It was gold and it had some spots on its back. Legrand got shocked about a red writing and he didn't reply to anything. The storyteller went back to Charleston. -
THE LETTER
Legrand sent a letter to the storyteller. The bug made him be mad. The letter said he was so sorry about what happened and he also asked him to come back as soon as he could to his house. He had some news and he admitted he was not mad. -
THE TREASURE
They all went to some lakes. With the notes they got from before, they followed clues, guessing some riddles, with codes and more. With a telescope, they found some white things, supposing that they were people. Those bodies were from two pirates. And next to them was the trasure, with a lot of money. -
THE EXPERT
The storyteller is an expert of hypnotism. He helps a lot of sick people with several problems. His work consists in the following steps: he says to the person that he is hypnotizing "your eyes are becoming heavier" and then, the person sleeps. But it's also awake! -
THE HYPNOTIZATION
Mr Valdemar was very sick. And the storyteller wanted to hypnotize a dead person. The death of Valdemar was very close. A doctor visit him, but sadly, he couldn't do anything because of his terrible illness. The storyteller hypnotized Valdemar before his death. -
THE YELLOW LIQUID
While the storyteller was hypnotizing, Valdemar asked for waking him up. But unexpectedly, a strange yellow liquid appeared getting out from his ears. And then, from all his body, which started to disappear. Later, there were a pool of yellow liquid that smells bad and some bones. -
VISITING A FRIEND
The storyteller was riding his horse across the wet land. He was going to Roderick's house. Usher was an old friend and the storyteller received a letter from him, telling that he was very ill. It was almost night when he got to his house. -
THE BURIAL
Roderick asked his friend to help him with his dead sister. He accepted but he was very scared. They carried her body to a coffin that it was located in a cellar. She was wearing a white dress and she was really pale. She couldn't breath but her body was not cold. -
ESCAPE AND SINKING
A strong storm was in Roderick's house. It started to behave quite different, like it was haunted. Then, Madeline appeared with his white dress full of blood. The storyteller ran away from the house. He saw how the house's walls were breaking and later, the house fell into the lake. -
NORWAY
The storyteller was given information about Maelstroms in the Norway's coast. He wanted to see a whirlpool, so he went to there, exactly to the city of Nordland. He paid a guide man to see the whole city. At first time, they went to a cliff to enjoy the best time to see the whirlpools. -
MAELSTROMS
The water started to move in circles,forming a hole. It moved faster and faster. All things or people that go into the house, they cannot come out alive. But there's a legend that one man went into it and come out alive. The storyteller was amazed and fascinated. -
THE STORY
The guide tells his mysterious story: The 10th July, he went out to fish with his brothers. They were sailing peacefully, when the sky became very dark. Then the guide realised that his watch has stopped. The clouds disappeared and the moon appeared. They were very scared. They fell into the hole, but his brothers and the boat didn't come out. He looked older since that happened. -
THE PARTY
Prince Prospero invited his courtiers to his castle in the top of a hill to have a nice party together. He had lots of food and drinks for everybody. They didn't want to think about the Red Death, so, Prince Prospero prepared a masque and put some music to dance. -
THE BELL
Every hour, a bell rang in the seventh room. It made a quite low noise, but the guests could hear it every hour and they stopped dancing. The people's faces got pale and they started to dance again when the bell stopped ringing. -
EAR BLEEDING
The bell rang twelve times. A stranger appeared, wearing a white gown. He had blood in some parts. Prince Prospero was going to kill the stranger. He was very scared. Suddenly, all the people fell onto the floor and they started to bleed from the eas. -
GOING TO NEW YORK
The storyteller was going to New York by ship from Charleston. He booked a cabin on it and he had to wait for a hotel. Meanwhile, he wanted to know all passengers' names. So, he went to the main office and there was a list over there. -
ESCAPE FROM THE SHIP
A strong wind was blowing. The ship crashed into sharps rocks and it started to sink. The captain asked to move to a new little ships. Everyone had gone out from the almost sinked ship, but Cornelius still there. He said that he coudn't leave his box -
THE DEAD BODY
A month later, the storyteller met the ship's captain.They talked about the accident and Cornelius' box. He asked to the captain what was inside the oblong box. There was the dead body of his wife, that had died the 14th July, and that's why Cornelius didn't want get rid of it.
