    Rapid growth of industrialization and factories brought many working problems. Russian trade unions were outlawed. This caused Russian revolutions to compete for power.
  • Marxists Split In Two

    Marxists Split In Two
    Menshevik’s wanted a revolution based off of popular support. While the more radical Bolshevik’s wanted a smaller revolution group willing to sacrifice for change. Lenin wanted to gain command and help the Soviet Union gain control of Russia.
  • Bloody Sunday

    Bloody Sunday
    Workers and families requested for better working conditions and personal freedom. Nicholas II ordered soldiers to fire at the crowd. This caused revolution to spread across Russia.

    Nicholas II put Russia into World War I. This caused 4 million Russian soldiers to die and go missing. World War I weakened the Czar causing more revolution.

    Women textile workers led a citywide strike that flared with riots about brews and fuel shortage. Textile workers shouted leave Russia out of World War One and stop the autocracy. Russia did not need a war.

    Czar Nicholas II Abandons his thrown after the March revolution. Revolutionaries Kill Nicholas II And his family. Nicholas II And His family causes the Czar to step down.
  • Lenin Steps Down

    Lenin Steps Down
    The Germans arrange Lenin’s return to Russia after years of exile. Lenin reaches Petrograd Russia by hidden train boxcar. Lenin gains control of Petrograd Soviets.
  • The Bolshevik Revolution

    The Bolshevik Revolution
    Lenin and the Bolsheviks gain control of the Petrograd sovietincluding other major Russian cities. People in Russia start rallying “All Power To The soviets” Lenin’s slogan.
    Lenin also wanted a new Russian Government.
