    Industrialization of Russia
    The number of factories had grown exponentially between 1863 and 1900. In order to increase production rate in factories Nicholas's best minister started a program to raise money for industrialization. This was done by seeking foreign investors and raising taxes.

    Alexander the III started resistance by stopping all reforms in Russia. Anyone who spoke other than Russian or worshiped outside of the Russian Orthodox Church they were deemed dangerous. This is one of the major reasons as to why the Russians wanted change.

In 1903 the people that followed Marx (Marxists) split onto 2 separate groups the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks. Bolsheviks were willing to sacrifice everything for change in Russia, while the Mensheviks wanted the revolution to work for everyone.

    Roughly 200,000 workers approached the Czars winter palace in St. Petersburg. They had a petition asking for better working conditions however, Nicholas II orders soldier to fire into the crowd. Bloody Sunday caused many work strike and violence all across Russia.

    The revolution truly began in 1825, but it took many years for it to really start. In 1881 Alexander the II was assassinated by revolutionaries.

    In March 1917 200,000 textile workers rioted through the streets of Russia. At the beginning of the riot soldier opened fire on the crowd however, they eventually sided with the rioting workers.

His climb to the top of the government took 5 years, he did this by aiding others in his climb. Once Trotsky was exiled in 1929, Stalin could not be stopped as the dictator of the Soviet Union.
