    Birth & Early Life.
    Rudolf Carnap was born in the Ronsdorf district of Wuppertal city. located in the north west region of modern-day Germany. Today Wuppertal is known for its suspended monorail system (viewed in the attached image) that was built ten years after Rudolf Carnap was born.

    Carnap move to several different towns but by the time he was 22 in 1913 Carnap started working on his dissertation on thermionic emissions( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNhXW1_SmQk ) at The University of Jena. His studies were put on pause however due to the first world war where Carnap served until 1917.

    After serving his time in the first world war, Rudolf moved to Berlin to study the theory of relativity. At that time the professor of physics at the university of Berlin was the famous Albert Einstein.

    Over the years, Carnap had made great strides such as becoming a member of the Vienna-Circle ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8e1gdGluXI8). This group gave birth to logical positivism one of the most profound movements of the 20th century. Logical positivism is where the only sensical discourse was scientific.

    The Logical Syntax of Language to Inductive Logic.

    In 1931 Carnap wrote the book The Logical Syntax of Language( “speak well so people can understand you” By: Tyler Woodwick) which was notably one of the most important contributions to logic. Between 1931 and 1952 Rudolf Carnap professed at multiple universities to include Harvard and UCLA.

    Final Thoughts.
    Before his death on September 14 1970 at the age of 79, Carnap was studying the theory of inductive logic. This is where in a scientific argument every logically possible state of affairs that make the premise true must make the conclusion true as well.
