PSP
PSP or Playstation Portable was released in the year 2005. It was different from the previous version of play station because gamer does need to have their own desktop and connectors just to play the game, because compact disk (CD) of the game may satisfy. The user can also bring their PSP with them anywhere. This is the first gadget that I own. -
Y8
Y8 was released in the year 2006. It has many games for children to play for. People can accessed it through their website (y8.com). It was named "y8" because of its 8 creators. This was the first site that I visited when I initially used computer. I enjoyed playing in Y8, especially its dress-up games. But as I grow up, I realized that some games or content in the site were not that "child-friendly," because it includes the use of guns which is inappropriate for children. -
Friv
Friv was known as the rival of y8. But, I guess that y8 is convenient than Friv, because users do not need to sign up or create his or her own account in order to play a game. At some point, the games posted in Friv can also be founded in y8. -
Motorola RAZR V3
Motorola RAZR V3 was lauched in 2004. This was the first mobile phone that I had. I also first experienced taking "selfies" with this phone, because when I closed its screen while launching the camera application, the small display in it capture photos. The front and back camera lens of this cell phone is the same. -
Google Earth
Google Earth was launched by Google in the year 2005. It is the 3D view of any place around the globe. This means that the user can actually see the real look of the place he/she searched. When I first experienced this application, I was amazed because I saw our house in it. But the 3D views of the place is not in "live view." Overall, Google Earth help the users to easily identify the location they looking for. -
Yahoo Messenger
Yahoo Messenger was initially released in the year 1998. This application is used to reconnect or chat with your relatives or peers. I remember that this is the first account of social media that I joined to. Because I grew up that my relatives lived in other country, so that I learned also to connect with them through Yahoo Messenger aside from talking with them in the telephone. But this application discontinued in the year 2018. -
Youtube
Youtube was introduced to people in February 14, 2005. It was used to watch videos online. I go to this site to learn the lyrics of the songs, This was better in its early year because no advertisement which cannot be "skip" in this year (2018-present). -
Friendster
Friendster was also one of my earliest account when it comes to social media. It was founded in the year 2002. This was different from all the other media that I have been used because users were the one who decided on what their profile will look like. A brilliant background or theme and new-designed cursor made Friendster unique. -
Facebook
Facebook was founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg. In its old version, users can chat with their friends through the use of the application itself. But as the time passed by, Facebook collaborated with Messenger. Thus, users are now required to download messenger so that they can be able to chat with others. -
Skype
While Yahoo Messenger was only used to chat with people, but Skype was introduced to video chat and voice call with friends and family. I think that this application served as the foundation and inspiration in those online platform that also had the same features (such as Facebook, Facetime, etc.). -
Pizap
Pizap was the first software editor that I used in my childhood days. It was first released in the year 2007. It was great to edit pictures through this site because of its cute stickers. Back then, "Face off" was a trend and Pizap was used to make one. -
Instagram
Instagram is the application used for posting pictures. It serves as the online album for its users. 2010 was the year it was released. Through the years that passed, Instagram improved its features. People can now add stories as well as stream live via this application. -
Ask.fm
Before I know curiouscat (2018), I first used ask.fm with my cousins. This application was launched in the year 2010. This is wherein people can asked questions to other users, and it can be anonymous. On the other hand, I noticed that this media can tolerate "back fighting" because of some unpleasant questions coming from an unknown person. -
iPod Touch (4th Generation)
iPod touch 4th Generation was released by Apple Incorporation in the year 2012. This gadget was only used to play music, games and capture photos. It was an upgraded version of MP3. It has variety of colors as well. -
Retrica
Retrica was a free mobile application. It was first released by android users. This media can be used as a substitute in mobile camera, because it has different effects that users can utilized to capture a better pictures. -
Samsung S3
Samsung S3 was released by Samsung in 2012. This is the first android phone that I had. I was amazed by the camera of this phone because it can captured pictures that people can see every details in it. This is where I saw the first "Face Unlock" feature. I guess that this serves as the inspiration by the mobile phones released by Apple nowadays (2017-present). -
Camera 360
Camera 360 is different from some camera applications because its effects can be used for the users to have a sharp and more beautiful look. It was trend in the year 2014 but not so much in the present (2019). -
iPhone 5s
iPhone release by Apple in the year 2013 was iPhone 5s. It was known as the rival of Samsung S3. Many users created a videos about the comparison of the two. iPhone 5s can only downloaded applications by the app store. This means that it only has limited applications, unlike some phones which they can access applications with link only then download it. -
Twitter
Twitter was launched in the year 2006. It is known as the "online diary" of media. People can post or tweet with not more than 280 words. Users can express their feelings with the use of this application. There was no direct message in it when it was first released but because of modernization, new features had been added. -
Curiouscat
Curiouscat is the new trend in twitter. Just like the ask.fm in the past years, users can also asked question. It is their decision whether they will reveal their identity or not. I noticed that users can also ask questions coming from themselves. But Curiouscat is upgraded because the application itself sends questions to their users for them to answer. -
Mobile Legends
Mobile legends is one of the top 10 most downloaded application in mobile. It is a 5 v 5 game. But people cannot play the game if they are not connected to the internet or data. People can choose from many different heroes they wanted to play with. Those heroes have their own powers. Graphics of this game as well is excellent. -
iPhone XR
iPhone XR was released in the Philippines last November 16, 2018. It has the face unlock features which is easier for us, users, especially that I am suffering from palmar hyperhidrosis. I can unlock my phone easily. Its camera is like the DIgital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) because through the "portrait" feature, the object that will be capture is focus and has a blurry background. -
Pinterest
Pinterest is a media used for uploading edited pictures to share with others. Students can get some inspirations through this application, especially for those who wanted to do D.I.Y (Do-it-yourself) things. Pictures that can be found in the site can also be used as wallpapers in their gadgets.
